New balls game
Wind, and maybe a fall
The university is positively giddy about the election. I went to the website a day or two ago. There was a story about Michelle and her Princeton classmates who are being appointed to the “transition team”. Better yet, there was a video of Cornel West slouched behind a microphone, in his self-important, self-satisfied, downtrodden posture, mumbling observations of depth unfathomable to the ordinary mind. Cornel and others at the table with him were rejoicing that Obama was elected, but they also cautioned that the racism of whites in America continues to be a threat, not mentioning that Obama succeeded only because the votes of 97% of black-american voters were motivated solely by race.
Hold on to that giddy euphoria, because now we’re going to see if Obama has the stones to end the taxpayer subsidization of education’s Exxon—that’s us, guys.
